FlyingCarpetNews welcomes your news and Press Releases related to Travel and Hospitality for our site, newsletter and reactive PR consideration. We have a few Rules about the submission process, please follow them, Press Releases violating the Rules will be deleted.
  
General Rules:
  1. Concise Language: Use clear and concise [English] language to describe upcoming travel events, new hospitality business launches or services, or recent industry developments. Ensure that the press release addresses who, what, why, where, and when in the first paragraph.
  2. Word Limit: All press releases must be between 300 and 1,000 words in length, including a summary/sub-heading of no more than two sentences.
  3. Email Addresses: Do not include email addresses in the body of the release.
  4. Formatting and Links: Do not include HTML tags or non-traditional characters. Capitalisation should follow standard grammar rules. Use links sparingly, with a guideline of one link for every 100 words.
  5. Date and Timing: Include a release date and location, and specify whether the release is for immediate publication or a future date (under embargo). If for future release, state the distribution date.
  6. Pagination: For multi-page releases, include the word "more" at the bottom of every page, along with the release subject and/or your name on each page. Include the word "end" at the bottom of the final page.

Press Release Content Requirements:

  1. Newsworthiness: Press releases must relate to newsworthy events, products, or services within the travel and hospitality industry. Avoid releases solely for advertising purposes. Content must provide real value (be interesting to read!) and be supported by factual [verifiable] information.
  2. Maintain Objectivity: Ensure press releases remain unbiased and objective. Avoid personal callouts and excessive use of exclamation points or exaggerations.
  3. Fact-Checked: All content must be fact-checked and free of errors and inaccuracies.
  4. Written Consent: Certain releases may require written consent or authorisation from relevant parties.
  5. Contact Information: Include the name, phone number, email address of the person submitting the press release, website and physical address of their organisation.
  6. Grammar and Spelling: Ensure correct grammar and spelling. Proofread and revise the press release before submission. Define any technical or industry-specific jargon used.
  7. Quotes: please include, if possible, quotes from the key persons (management of subject matter experts) representing the companies mentioned in the press release, supporting the content.
  8. Images: please include, if possible, links to the relevant photographs or illustrations for the story; please make sure they are up-to-date, clearly visible, relevant to the story, have all necessary permissions and rights releases for media use and are of sufficient size and resolution (ideally, 1280px in length horizontally, 72dpi). 
  9. Attachments: We ONLY accept the following attachments: DOC, DOCX, RTF, PDF, JPG. No compressed archives, please.

We Do NOT Accept:

  1. Ads or Spam: Avoid press releases that contain ads or spam content. Focus on newsworthy angles related to products or services.
  2. Opinion Statements: Refrain from personal opinions or exaggerated statements.
  3. Explicit Content: Do not include sexually explicit or mature content, including references to explicit products, services, or events.
  4. Copyrighted Content: Ensure content is unique and unpublished. Do not redistribute copyrighted material unless you have a license to do so. Properly attribute quotes and facts.
  5. Malicious or Threatening Content: Do not distribute content that promotes violence, bigotry, racism, or hatred. Ensure content does not harm individuals or businesses.
  6. Unethical SEO Practices: Do not engage in unethical SEO practices, such as keyword over-saturation or link manipulation.

In addition, we do not accept press releases related to third-party legal content, market research reports, online gambling sites, streaming video publication sites without authorisation, payday loan sites, pharmaceutical sites, weight loss programs, health/sexual enhancement supplements, money-making schemes, illegal mobile device unlocking services, or academic writing services. Please ensure that your press releases for the travel and hospitality industry adhere to these guidelines for consideration of PR Now.
